Barnabas James Dold Shaw, born in South Africa on February 1820, went to School in England then he Studied Theology at Woodhouse Grove in England. When he returned to South Africa, he brought his bride Barbara Walkinshaw. He preached at Bathurst Methodist Church in the Eastern Cape.  They had six children, Barbara, George Henry Bramwell, John Reay, Samuel Charles, Ambrose George and Dorothy Katherine.

My uncle was named Reay continuing this family name. My beloved Uncle Reay died after suffering of Multiple Sclerosis for several decades.
